Our Rules

Boat Launch Rules

BEAR POINT CIVIC ASSOCIATION BOAT LAUNCH RULESTHIS IS A PRIVATE BOAT LAUNCH FOR MEMBERS ONLY
All BPCA Members with Boat Launch Access are expected to abide by all rules below.  Failure to comply with these rules may result in your access being denied with NO REFUND of your boat launch dues.

GENERAL RULES
  • Each member paying for Boat Launch Access will be provided with a Member Access Code to be used on the keypad at the boat launch gate.  Members are expected to protect their unique Member Access Code and do not give the code to unauthorized individuals.  If it is determined a member is allowing someone to use their code, their Member Access Code may be disabled to deny access and no refund will be issued for their boat launch access.
  • Members will receive two windshield parking decals to be displayed on their tow vehicle or golf cart.  Vehicles parked in the boat launch area without this parking decal are subject to being towed at the member’s/owner’s expense and the BPCA will not be responsible for damage to vehicle, trailer or cart in the event of a tow.
  • Members must park only in the designated parking spaces provided at the launch.  Parking in undesignated areas will result in the vehicle/trailer or cart being towed.
  • VEHICLES WITHOUT TRAILERS (other than golf carts) will be towed out of the parking area at the owner’s expense.  Exceptions may be granted by a member of the board of directors for kayaks, small sailboats, or other small watercraft.
  • NO overnight parking or storage of your boat and trailer at the boat launch without prior approval from a Board member is allowed.  BPCA is not responsible for theft or damage to your vehicle/trailer.
  • Memberships expire on December 31st of each year.
  • Damage to the entry gate, whether intentional or not, will be the responsibility of the member causing any damage to the gate or actuators.

ACCESS/EXITING AND PARKING
  • When launching your boat, DO NOT BACK IN from the street.  This is a safety and security issue.
  • DO NOT allow “tailgating” (allowing someone to closely follow you in) of unauthorized vehicles.  Cameras are monitoring access.  Members allowing other vehicles to “tailgate” for entry will put their membership/access at risk.
